Purpose of Role
Account Director, Sales performs key functions of supporting the sales department with revenue generation within the hotel with a focus on rooms and catering leads, generation and conversion, maximising all sales opportunities and exceeding all KPI’s as set out in the annual hotel plan.
Responsibly Description
- To assist director interfaces with the hotel management (DOS, EAM-SM) to report on revenue statistics, personnel issues, sales and service performance.
- To liaise with the Director of Revenue management on rate strategies and market intelligence.
- To oversee the operations of the W Sales Department and ensure achievement of sales goals, KPI’s and revenue production and business.
- The Account Director, Business Development will be required to support and adhere to the Sales & Marketing plan in its development and implementation, to cooperate and communicate with the Director of Sales on a regular basis.
- Maintain regular contact with the Marriott Global Sales and where appropriate submit sales leads within the Marriott network.
- The assist director will liaise with other departments as necessary, representing the best interests and requirements of the sales department.
- To keep the department functioning smoothly by ensuring that team members operate with peak efficiency through coordination, communication and cooperation.
- To provide an inspiring example of Room Sales citizenship, responsibility and resourcefulness by asserting, protecting and demonstrating the core values of the W Sales and Marketing and the W Hotel.
- To provide team members with support and champion all sales and marketing systems and programs.
- The Account Director, Business Development will be required to conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with W Sales Department and W Hotel policies and procedures, ensuring that the highest level of service and communication is maintained.
- To oversee the operations of the W Sales Department in the absence of Director of Sales.
