Do you have love data and have a back ground in analytics then this could be the role for you, we are looking for an analyst who enjoys a fast paced environment to join the Food Space Range & Display Planning team in our support office at Waterside. The Space Range & Display Planning team maximise our Food sales and profitability by working closely with the Business Units and Retail to develop and deliver the business strategy around the use of our Food space. They do this by providing range and space analysis to Space Range & Display and Trading teams, so they can improve our commercial performance through sales, margin mix, waste, stock loss, gross profit.

About the role

Your key accountabilities will include

·  Provide range and space analysis to SRD and Trading teams, with the purpose of improving commercial performance (sales, margin mix, waste, stock loss, gross profit).
·  Develop and prepare reports and insight for key stakeholders to monitor performance, as well as presenting and illustrating findings. Delivering a step change in team reporting output.
·  Work closely with stakeholders to fully understand requirements and provide collaborative solutions based on a commercial and analytical understanding
·  Become an advocate for creating a data driven business by illustrating the power of analytics and reporting
·  Work collaboratively with the other analysts in the team to create a thriving analytics environment where knowledge and ideas are shared
·  Support projects to develop with analysis as required
·  Support the development of SRD processes

About you

Your skills and experience will include

·  Exceptional analytical, problem solving and numerical skills
·  Hands on experience of processing large data sets
·  Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work in a team or as an individual
·  Enthusiasm and desire to learn new tools and techniques
·  Ability to interact with the business to understand their needs and interpret how they could be fulfilled using the available data
·  Advanced excel skills. Knowledge of Power Bi is desirable
·  Can work using own initiative and deliver results under pressure
·  Ability to communicate and explain data to all levels
