This role sits within our Space Range and Display function and is key to ensuring that we have the right product ranges to match our customers buying patterns, you will have the ability to view our Foods product through our customers eyes so that we can make out stores easy for them to shop.

What the role will involve day to day

·  Create and manage the range for a commercial unit, ensuring the ranges are updated to the highest standards through the application of an agreed range change approach
·  Analyse multiple sources of commercial data (financial, customer, competition and market) to help inform and implement ranging improvements.
·  Conduct control vs trial tests to measure effectiveness of change (including incrementality)
·  Work with Display Operations to finalise, implement and communicate range changes with commercial units, supply chain, trade planning and international functions.
·  Achieve range targets, ensuring we optimise for: Customer need states met, ease of shop, operations, supply, waste and product margins.
·  Provide range related management performance information, at varying levels of granularity, including: Stocking point and planogram level – helping identify further opportunity for range enhancements.
·  Play a key role in joining up the end to end ranging strategy with Buyers and New Product Development. Conducting full range reviews in season, as well as, for events. Providing the context, direction and criteria of success at a store, planogram, cluster and estate level.
·  Reviewing performance at a 1 day, 1 week, 1 month and 1 quarter level to support improvement recommendations i.e. distributions, packaging & UPT before removal
·  Identifying store, product and cluster patterns to make focused recommendations i.e. cluster improvements

The person we are looking for

·  Has excellent project management skills
·  Is able to analysis, interpretative data and problem solve
·  Can present to and manage stakeholders at different levels
·  Has good knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Microsoft Excel & Power BI
·  Has knowledge of the Space Range, Display, New Product Development, Supply Chain and Procurement processes and critical paths
·  Is familiar with the Food Analytics Query Tool (Business Objects)
·  Has used JDA Suite (or similar) Including –Assortment Optimization, Space Planning, & Intactix Knowledge Database
