Summary

An exciting opportunity to join a newly formed team who are focused on delivering and supporting HR projects, transformation and continuous improvement using lean six sigma, agile and traditional methods.

Continuous improvement will encompass proactively identifying process, people and technology efficiencies and implementing change across the Colleague Services function and wider HR teams.

The team also play a pivotal role supporting projects and operational teams to make changes and improvements to the service scope that is delivered to our customers in offices, retail and distribution centres.

Ideally, we are looking for a self-starter who is comfortable working collaboratively and who has experience working with small and large teams, subject matter experts, technical experts and third parties to deliver changes, improvements and alignment.

About the role

Key projects and improvements will include:

·  Proactively identifying process inefficiencies that could be improved or removed whilst increasing capacity to deliver more value to our colleagues and customers
·  Identifying simplification opportunities that will reduce hand offs to our internal teams and improve cycle times
·  Ensuring all processes are aligned to the appropriate compliance requirements
·  Supporting ongoing business change and technology projects
·  Supporting HR transformation and all associated readiness activity which may include adoption of new services, processes and technology
·  Facilitating workshops within Colleague Services

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

·  Understanding of how a HR shared service centre operate within a customer focused organisation
·  An aptitude and enthusiasm for improving processes and ways of working
·  A desire to learn new techniques and skills as part of your career progression
·  A good understanding of MS Excel, e.g. tables, charts, formulas (SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, IF, COUNTIF etc.), Pivot tables/charts
·  Ability to utilise MS PowerPoint, e.g. can prepare impactful presentations, adhere to branding guidelines, can summarise and simplify information and is confident in presenting this information
·  Must have an aptitude for using other MS Office applications, i.e. can quickly learn new applications such as MS Visio, Outlook and SharePoint
·  Good engagement skills, i.e. can engage with your peers and Operations Managers to elicit information and collaborate to solve problems
·  Excellent organisational and planning abilities, with experience of working towards tight deadlines
·  A basic understanding of how to create a visual/written understanding of a process flow
·  An analytical, logical and objective approach when analysing facts and information
·  A basic understanding of lean six sigma tools and techniques (formal training/accreditation will be provided)
·  Ability to confidently lead a team of people when collaborating on process improvements and projects
·  Highly experienced in working with stakeholders; being comfortable challenging current mind sets/ways of working and influencing change for people who may have worked the same processes for an extended period of time and may not initially be open to change
