The role at a glance
An exciting role in an ever-changing area. You will be heavily involved with store renewal and other exciting initiatives.
Project based role, supporting the development and implementation of future Hospitality new initiatives including concepts and trials to meet changing customer demands. Working on a range of projects that fall outside of Hospitality BAU, to trial and test and to shape the Hospitality strategy.
This is a varied role that allows you to see projects from start to finish. Including having complete input at the planning stage, the full implementation and engagement, and then the review and decision-making stage. The overall purpose of the role is to generate growth opportunities for Hospitality in a changing retail environment.
You will need to be aware of our competitors who provide similar food offers in our trading arena to ensure that we are always relevant, on trend and set up to deliver growth by building financially sound business cases underpin the concept development and future success
What the role will involve
· To understand, articulate and deliver the Food Group strategy supporting the development and implementation of future Hospitality new initiatives
· Working as part of a collaborative team on Foodhall Renewal Hospitality concepts, other Hospitality Concepts and Hospitality trials to meet the ever-changing customer demands. Working on a range of projects that fall outside of Hospitality BAU, to trial and test and to shape the Hospitality strategy
· Working in a fast, agile manner identifying opportunities and risks to make future decisions for the growth of the category both commercially and operationally.
· Leading projects by managing relationships across several teams including; Buyers, Product Developers, Technologists, Marketing, Store Design, Property, Digital and Supply Chain whilst ensuring operational efficiencies are applied
· Building great relationships and influencing stakeholders both externally & internally
· Spending time engaging and training store and regional teams
· Building business cases that realise opportunities to grow profitably in-line with strategy
· Working on various projects at the same time. Using initiative to launch projects from start to finish at pace
· Head Office based with some travel to stores and suppliers as required
The person we’re looking for
· Excellent knowledge of retail/store environment
· Excellent organisational skills
· Excellent at stakeholder management and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels to gain buy in
· Strong analytical skills and ability to use Excel and FAQT
· A team player with strong Leadership skills and good verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to problem solve and resolve complex issues
· Is resilient and enjoys a fast paced and agile environment
· Knowledge of Hospitality industry
