Summary

To assist the Merchandiser in managing product from buy to store to meet our customer requirements, taking full responsibility for a range where necessary.

We are looking for someonewith JDA experience to assist the Menswear Merchandiser in managing product from buy to store to meet our customer requirements, taking full responsibility for a range where necessary to deliver in-season actions that maximise sales and profit opportunities.

About the role

Your key accountabilities will include

·  Supporting the Outlets Menswear Merchandiser/Planning Manager to create and deliver the Departmental strategy and operating plan for sales, stock, GSM and net margin
·  Developing a cohesive departmental range of products from BU excess, Made for Outlets and Supplier to be offered each quarter
·  Supporting the Outlets Merchandiser/Planning Manager with accurate quarterly forecasts and catalogue planning
·  Managing commitment, made stock and store stock levels to agreed targets
·  Assisting Department Plan review and lessons learned
·  Maintaining accurate listings in JDA
·  Working with Buying and Sourcing Offices to manage critical path from buy to store delivery
·  Working with Central Planning & Marketing team to ensure commercially driven layouts are created
·  Supporting the Outlets Merchandiser/Planning Manager to develop and execute departmental pricing and promotional strategies
·  Working with MAAs to achieve store availability targets and drive sales opportunity
·  Accountability for Departmental documentation

About you

Your skills and experience will include

·  Core Merchandising skills including managing GSM, development of Department Plan, stock / commitment management, creating sales estimates, and production plans
·  Knowledge of the end to end buy to store process
·  Controlling unplanned in-season costs
·  Negotiation skills (managing in season unplanned costs)
·  Knowledge of M&S brand and sub-brand strategy
·  Able to fully utilise the relevant IT support systems, ( SSI, SAS Reporting, JDA Merch Planning, PLM and GMOR) and to be fully conversant with standard business desktop applications
·  Strong numerical, analytical and interpretive skills
·  Ability to initiate and build strong relationships with Main Chain business, Suppliers and Retail
·  Strong influencing / interpersonal/ communication skills
·  Passion for Menswear fashion
