Summary

A great opportunity has arisen as part of the marketing transformation to join the Food Category Marketing team as an Assistant Marketing Manager for Ambient categories, supporting the Category Marketing Manager and Head of Category Marketing, to develop compelling, authentic, customer relevant propositions for category communications and campaigns.

About the role

Your key accountabilities will include:

·  Support Category Marketing Manager and Head of Category Marketing to develop compelling, authentic, customer relevant propositions for category communications and campaigns. These should be developed collaboratively ensuring they are highly commercial and mindful of operational challenges.
·  Assist in the development of proposition briefs for specific category initiatives that meet commercial objectives and are aligned with key stakeholders. Briefs should reflect the overall strategy and priorities of Food Marketing, and should have clear budgets, timings and consumer targets.
·  Support in the delivery of category propositions, campaigns and events, ensuring consistency across all touch points and accuracy against the brief
·  Accountable for collating and briefing the POS requirements for the Ambient area for each relevant phase and/or campaign, working alongside other Assistant Marketing Managers
·  Support campaign PIRs to ensure learnings are captured and set clear recommendations for future activity
·  Responsible for the day to day management of relevant category marketing plans and POS, and the accuracy of food guideline documents for M&S stores
