Community Engagement Volunteer

  • Internship
  • London (Greater London)

Job description

Do you enjoy supporting your local community?

At Makerble we are looking for a Community Engagement Volunteer.
Makerble.com is a digital collaboration tool designed for community engagement. It helps local charities and local groups keep track of the difference that they are making so that they can more easily apply for funding to keep their essential projects going.

As one of our Community Engagement Volunteers you will be responsible for helping local groups and local charities get setup on Makerble so that they can begin using it themselves as a way to keep track of their impact and increase their income.

We will provide you with training on how to use Makerble.com and will cover your travel expenses if you incur any. We are a small team based in Clapham with a big dream to see communities everywhere able to prove the positive difference that they are making.

What Makerble does:
- provides one place to store contact details of all the people your organisation helps
- allows you to collect stories of the difference you are making; pictures, videos, text and numbers can all be included
- enables you to distribute surveys which help you assess the impact you are making
- provides you with public webpages that you can use to show funders, trusts, foundations and potential donors the difference you are making

Desired profile

The level of digital expertise required for this role is familiarity with social media. Makerble.com has been designed to be as easy to use as tools like Facebook and Instagram, so if you know how to use either of them, you will be able to get your head around Makerble quickly and be able to help other people in your local area understand how it works.

To apply, send across a paragraph outlining why you believe you would be good for this role
