Maggie’s main objective each year is to support more people living with cancer and their family and friends. To achieve this more people need to know about Maggie’s. We recognise the importance that PR and social media play in building greater awareness and understanding of Maggie’s so that more people living with cancer know that our Centres are available for them.

You be working on developing creative content for our twitter and Facebook to ensure it feels personal (non corporate) and warm like an extension of the welcome received in a Maggie’s Centre. You will be reaching out to local press, bloggers and influencers with a strong local presence to help raise awareness of Maggie’s in the local area along with writing content for Press releases and presentations. You will work with our visitors to write emotive case studies, film short videos and take photographs and support our fundraisers to promote their events including producing collateral such as posters and invites. You will also represent Maggie’s at local events in the community.

Time commitment
We offer flexibility and therefore we can discuss your commitment for 12 weeks or ongoing commitment . You will need to commit to work one day or 1/2 day from the Centre in Cambridge which will help you to understand Maggie’s as a charity. Other days are negotiable.

Make every future a success.
