Job description

Considering a career in fundraising and not sure where to start? Intern or volunteer within Maggie’s Fundraising Team in Cambridge and you will have training and hands on experience to make a difference to people living with cancer, their family and friends. We are committed to helping you develop new skills, explore your interests, and start your journey in the charity sector.

You will be working with our supporters fundraising for Maggie’s to ensure they have a positive experience. You will maintain proactive communication with people in the local community holding their own fundraising events for Maggie’s and also taking part in our own campaigns. You will provide effective stewardship throughout their fundraising journey, use our channels to recruit and communicate with supporters and assist with administration tasks such as banking donations and writing thank you letters. You will be responsible for promoting the Centre’s events and activities through social media, our website and in person throughout the local area to increase visitor numbers and fundraising income for the Centre.

Time commitment
We offer flexibility and therefore we can discuss your commitment for 12 weeks or ongoing commitment . You will need to commit to work one day or 1/2 day from the Centre in Cambridge which will help you to understand Maggie’s as a charity. Other days are negotiable.
