Following the recent expansion of our customer base and product suite, M-Brain is pleased to be seeking one or more Research Analyst(s). These permanent, full-time roles will be performed from our City of London office and offer an exciting opportunity within a fast-growing and future-focused global organisation. Team members will have an opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of industry sectors, business trends, and industry dynamics.

Research Analysts form an integral part of our customer delivery team, helping our world-class clients achieve optimum impact from their intelligence programmes.

Research Analyst tasks include:


  • Understanding monitoring objectives and information taxonomy, customised by each client account

  • Managing day-to-day selection of relevant news signals and reports, as well as potentially abstracting relevant signals

  • Managing the quality of content published over proprietary market intelligence platforms

  • Working with consultants to manage & update client-specific source portfolios

  • Working with public and proprietary sources to build source portfolios

  • Working with consultants to conduct client-specific scheduled analysis on market, competitor and customer developments


Candidate requirements:


  • Experience working with various commercial databases an advantage, as is an interest in searching methodologies, databases, and research

  • Interest in a wide range of business sectors and a willingness to work in a number of different sectors

  • A degree from an accredited post-secondary institution (preferably in marketing, business, commerce, information science, communications or similar)

  • Be someone with credibility, integrity, humility, and a passion for the work you do

  • Must possess excellent problem solving skills and strong self-starting ability

  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience working with various commercial databases an advantage

  • Fluency in English; additional languages an advantage

  • Motivation and initiatives, as well as flexible to adapt to changing circumstances
