Purpose:
An excellent opportunity has arisen in our busy Accounts department based in Bristol city centre for an Accounts Administration Assistant. The role involves providing administration support to members of the Accounts team and helping with all aspects of the Accounts function.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in gaining experience within Accounts and looking to develop a career within this area. Previous Accounts experience is not essential as full on-the-job training will be provided however we do ask that for a genuine interest in accounts. The role offers possibilities for future development and progression within the Accounts department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Processing invoices / payments / receipts
2. File openings
3. Help with processing purchase ledger invoices
4. To provide assistance/cover across all sections within the department
5. Filing / cheque distribution
Skills/Competencies required:
Essential:
Organised
Methodical
Computer literate (to include Excel)
Numerical skills Attention to detail
Ability to prioritise
Desirable:
Typing skills
Desirable Experience:
Computer/ Spread sheet work
Administration experience
Education Required:
1. A good Maths GCSE pass or equivalent is essential
2. Study of Accounts qualifications (GSCEs, A Levels or equivalent) an advantage.
