MAIN JOB OVERVIEW
This position will play a key part in advancing the culture around sound environmental programs, implementing sustainability initiatives, creating training programs and managing communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the setup of company sustainability goals, strategy and culture
- Propose and drive the implementation of sustainability initiatives in packaging, formula, manufacturing, transport, stores, offices and etc, inspire and influence business partners
- Lead cross-functional and project teams to deliver strategic results and meet group & company goals
- Edit and manage sustainability internal (example: newsletter) and external communications
- Edit and update Sustainability guide
- Organize Sustainability trainings, seminars and events
- Track energy consumption, compile, analyze, and report environmental data, edit company sustainability report
- Benchmark, synthesize, and internally communicate trends and insights from external sources
- Participate in the validation of environmental claims
- Monitor laws and regulations with respect to environmental protection as they affect company operations
- Serve as point of contact for company Sustainability
Desired profile
Experience required : Minimum 5 years
- Bachelor's degree in Communications
- Sustainability/Environmental Science or a related field is a plus
- Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in Communications/Public relations, work experience in Sustainability/NGO working with business/Corporate Social Responsibility is preferred
- Understanding of generalist sustainability concepts, including social and environmental standards
- Knowledge of environmental and social sustainability practices in a business environment
- Excellent English language capabilities, strong writing skills.
- Experience of event organization and project management in cross-functional environment
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, communication standards and claims is a plus
- Additional subject matter expertise including sustainability management, reporting and transparency, inclusion and diversity, supply chain, stores is a plus
- French language skills are desired but not required
- Detail-oriented, excellent organization and prioritization skills
- Superior presentation, written and verbal communication skills are required, ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external partners
- Proficiency at conveying information in a clear, focused and concise manner.
