Main Objective
The CAD Designer will work closely with the Creative Director & Senior Designer to deliver the seasonal briefs by developing new ideas and creating original artwork. The design team will work together to develop, finalise and present the collections.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Create original artworks for print, jacquard, lace, laser cutting, and various techniques for leather according to the Creative Director and Senior Designer brief
- Assisting the design team to conduct seasonal research for materials techniques, footwear structures and heel prototyping
- Creating shoe mock-ups for visualisation and proposals
- Producing and engineering uppers CAD structures for factories in Italy when necessary
- Assisting with seasonal designer collaborations and special projects
- Assisting with corrections for Product Development and Production
- Overseeing All CAD drawings
- Supplying Art Direction with seasonal artworks for promotional tools
- Developing sole designs
- Developing hardware and trim designs
Desired profile
Experience required : Minimum 2 years
- Relevant industry experience
- Degree level in Footwear Design
- Creative design sensibility
- Collaborative team player with strong initiative
- Knowledge of current market trends and competitors' products
- Fashion background and used to working with designers
- High level of creativity
- Flexible and adaptable
- Strong computer skills
- proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator are essential
