THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a team of administrators and negotiators whose role it is to maximise collections revenue from accounts where a debt management company has been appointed.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Team leader/Future Leaders experience desirable
QUALIFICATIONS
• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Debt Management Manager your responsibilities will include:-
1. Manage and motivate a team of up to 16 administration and telephony staff whose role is to manage correspondence and all other contact from Debt Management Companies (DMC) and associated 3rd parties acting on behalf of our customers who are in financial difficulties
2. Ensure all work streams including white mail, email, and bulk transfer of data between Lowell and DMC’s are kept within agreed SLA’s
3. Liaising with Lowell’s learning and development team ensure that staff are receiving adequate training to improve skills and knowledge base
4. Provide regular coaching/feedback and monitor individual performance of productivity through regular 121’s and team meetings
5. Working closely with the central quality teams, improve and maintain individual and team quality assurance targets
6. Working with the Debt Management Manager to ensure that all existing processes are in line with current regulatory requirements and highlight any areas for improvement
7. Oversee and manage the internal transition of accounts from DMC’s who are ceasing to trade to ensure minimum customer impact
8. Working closely with the relationship manager, develop and maintain good working relationships with DMC’s to increase, improve and enhance current bulk transfer of data
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Ability to motivate a team to achieve challenging performance targets
• Able to deal with under performance and manage expectations appropriately
• Experience of working in a Financial Difficulties environment desirable
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
