Job Description

The role reports to the COO office within the Business Risk & Cross border Management team and focused on the day-to-day management of operational policies & processes within the COO function. The role will work closely with the COO teams as well as Business and functions in the definition, creation and implementation of operational policies and is the lead coordinator for the COO office. The Policy & Process Manager may have another supporting role within the wider CP BRM team who is tasked with managing 1st line of defense risk management activities.

Missions

Lead the review and approval for any polices, processes introduced by functions, highlight any gaps or issues to minimise impacts on the business
Act as the central point of contact for all policy, process, procedural related queries, activities and issues for CP business & functions
Facilitate resource commitment and allocation across the COO, business and functions
Collaborate with the business to ensure the necessary controls are designed/challenged and implemented for policy changes
Participate in projects, Audits, Business Continuity Management and RSCAs to highlight necessary policy changes and appropriate action is taken by the owner
Create or lead the creation of new operational policies, processes and procedures such as the banker handbook to ensure business have clear guidelines and strong conduct in their day to day activities
Build strong networks with other policy owners and ensure regular exchange and engagement on relevant topics
Create a repository for Operations policies, processes, procedure to ensure ease of access and visibility for CP ops and business staff
Implement a process to ensure regular annual review of policies dependent on criticality to ensure content is kept up to date reflecting latest business strategy

Requirements

5-10 years related experience in a banking environment
Strong commercial awareness and ability to understand broader business issues
Proven ability to effectively manage others with leadership, coaching and delegation abilities
Fluent in French and English mandatory
Highly self-driven and have excellent problem solving skills
Demonstrated capacity to build strong collaborative business and technology relationships
Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
Strong analytical skills, an eye for detail, planning organisation skills
Proficiency in various general computing skills extending to full suite of Microsoft applications including use of Excel
