About the Bank
We are in the process of setting up a new UK retail bank which is customer centric and locally based that will aim to provide the full range of banking facilities over time, initially focussing on providing current accounts.

About the Candidate
The nature of the project requires an Intern in an Investor Relations & Marketing role working closely with the CEO and CFO to manage the process from initial investor interest to completion of investments. You will work on all aspects of the fundraising and Investor Relations program. You also have to look after all aspects of marketing through various channels and should be full of innovative ideas, be up to date with current tech, and a social media advocate.

Investor Relations/Marketing Intern
The role involves Investor Relations and supporting the digital marketing for the Bank and will be responsible for finding and reaching out to Brokers, Family Offices, HNW, Corporate and Institutional Investors to ascertain interest in investing in the proposed Bank, alongside marketing and developing PR and social media coverage of the Bank.

Responsibilities of Investor Relations/Marketing Intern include:
• Assist in preparation (design, develop and publish to investors) of investment materials, including investment summary, presentation (completed) and Information Memorandum
• Desktop research and reaching out to potential investors, by email and by phone
• Following up with investors to secure interest and secure meetings
• Co-ordinating the investment process with Lawyers, Accountant, Investors, Brokers and the team
• Supporting the CEO and senior leadership team in meetings and follow-up actions
• Accessing potential investors and managing the fundraising pipeline
• Assisting with inbound queries from investors and due diligence questions as they arise
• Research and preparing background materials and reports as required for investor meetings
• Provide support in creating presentations and other communicational material for investor conferences and road shows
• Preparing materials for investor events such as annual investor meetings, advisory board meetings and other investor events
• Working with the web marketing team to help promote the vision and values of the Bank
• Supporting the brand and product campaigns to raise awareness about the Bank
• Creating a series of low cost and awareness campaigns using digital media channels
• Creating PR campaigns and newsworthy materials
• Understand the channels/routes to market and how they can be used to maximise the Bank’s audience
• Liaise with third parties as necessary - PR companies, print media, events etc.
• Other ad-hoc duties/projects as assigned as the role evolves

Desired profile

Candidate Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
• Previous experience in consulting, investment banking, corporate finance or private equity with excellent attention to detail with strong financial and analytical skills
• Experience as a marketing analyst and knowledge of current markets
• Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts (SEO, PPC, Email marketing, and social media), strategy and best practice
• Previous experience in a similar digital marketing role in administrative or marketing capacity
• Must be a confident communicator and team player, who enjoys collaboration
