Our Procurement department is now seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and highly organised Graduate to join their Team. In this role you will deal with a range of detailed and interesting projects to deliver cost savings, as well as qualitative value add for internal stakeholders. You will receive on-the-job training and gain experience, along with the opportunity to quickly take on exciting new challenges.
You will be challenged to develop solutions to complex tasks in a fast-paced environment, but you will be supported every step of the way. Through a structured training programme and on-the-job exposure, you’ll learn how to become a procurement specialist over the 23-month programme. Starting on the 1 st September 2025.
What you'll do
· Managing projects in the procurement sector
· Coordinating and overseeing tender processes, negotiating, contracting and implementing service level agreements
· Conducting thorough market research to ensure we are competitive in our approach
· Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
· Preparing summaries, overviews and project status documents for senior management personnel
· Managing and maintaining supplier relationships
· Acting as an ambassador for Lidl when dealing with 3rd parties
· Managing and negotiating indirect supplier contracts
What you'll need
· A 2:2 degree or above in any discipline by September 2025 or graduated no earlier than September 2023
· Possession of a full UK driving licence is essential for this role
· Already live - or happy to relocate - within a one-hour commute of Lidl GB Head Office, Tolworth, Surrey
· To be legally entitled to work in the UK on a full-time basis
· A passion for the Procurement cycle!
· Be a strategic, innovative thinker that can come up with tangible solutions
· An excellent communicator, effective negotiator, and confident presenter
· Good attention to detail and able to manage deadlines
· Willing to travel both nationally and internationally including occasional overnight stays
· Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
· Be able to attend an assessment centre on 13 th or 14 th January 2025
