The Data Protection Team is looking for a confident and methodical individual to support them so they can continue to drive Data Protection compliance within the organisation whilst enabling the business to meet its objectives. 

As a Data Protection Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance across the business, acting as the first point of contact for colleagues and customers on data protection queries. From managing Data Subject Rights Requests and triaging personal data breaches to maintaining compliance processes and supporting audits, you’ll help drive our Data Protection Programme forward. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, oversee key records, and create training content to raise awareness across the business. In this fast-paced and detail-focused role, you’ll use your organisational skills and problem-solving abilities to support the smooth operation of our Data Protection Team while gaining valuable experience in this critical area.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to get great exposure to the world of Data Protection. This role will be a central point of contact for many Business Departments seeking advice regarding procedural compliance.

Please note as per Lidl internal structures, your job title internally will be Officer.

What you'll do

•    Monitor all incoming email correspondence, responding to adhoc queries from Colleagues and Customers. 
•    Process Data Subject Rights Requests.
•    Triage Personal Data Breaches, determine remedial steps, escalating to the Data Protection Officer where required. 
•    Maintain Compliance Programme processes using ARIS. 
•    Ensure Data Protection Audits / Checks are completed in all Workplaces, maintaining audit questions, collating and tracking remedial action. 
•    Manage an External Service Supplier Log, planning periodic audits, collaborating with our Internal Audit and Information Security Teams to ensure audit priorities are aligned.
•    Complete Tasks assigned from our International Teams. 
•    Be the main point of contact for the Business regarding OneTrust administration queries and training requests. 
•    Ensure our Records of Processing Activities are updated, reviewing entries and driving completion. 
•    Create training content including e-Learning, bespoke and general awareness material using multiple communication channels. 

What you'll need

•    Working practice of Data Subject Rights Requests. 
•    Excellent organisational skills. 
•    A sharp attention to detail with a competence for problem solving.  
•    The ability to manage multiple complex tasks concurrently within tight deadlines.
•    Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
•    German language, desirable but not essential
