As an Assistant Team Manager, you’ll be part of our Quality Assurance Department in an exciting time of rapid expansion for Lidl. The team have continued to pride themselves on not only meeting, but exceeding the expectations of every customer, through providing products of the highest possible quality across our stores.
The Quality Assurance Labelling Compliance team is responsible for reviewing packaging and artwork to ensure labels are representative of the product and compliant with relevant Food Labelling legislation. You’ll utilise your expertise and proven team management experience to strengthen the vibrant Quality Assurance team!

What you'll do
· Manage and coordinate the end-to-end QA Labelling Compliance process in line with procedures and timeframes.
· Focus on the continuous improvement and development of an efficient and effective team.
· Liaising with various internal departments including Branding & Packaging, Buying and other Quality Assurance teams
· Review product labelling to ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies.
· Translation of information from German to English and vice versa (depending on language skills)
· Generating monthly / annual reports
· QA Inbox cover including: Full ownership of new incoming issues, conducting investigations and risk assessment on these topics
What you'll need
· German language skills and/or previous experience in product labelling
· Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage other team members
· A relevant degree is desirable
· Risk based approach to technical issues
· Strong organisational and time management skills
· Highly focused critical thinker with an uncompromising eye for detail
· A motivated and proactive team player, with a can-do attitude, who is also capable of working independently
· A confident communicator, able to manage entrusted tasks and direct exposure to internal departments, senior management and external partners
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word and Excel
· Passionate about food safety and quality
