Job description

We are a Multi Award Winning Event Styling Company based near Southend on Sea, Essex. We have a rapidly growing corporate client base with many high profile clients as well as a strong holding in the Wedding sector of the industry giving daily variation and many exciting projects throughout each year for all staff.

We work as a medium sized friendly team from our offices & warehouse near Southend on Sea as well as on site work setting up drapery, decor and styling items for our clients at their venues throughout Essex, Kent, London, Surrey, Suffolk & Hertfordshire.

The successful applicants will be working as part of our Event Styling team and full on the job training will be provided as part of a training and probationary period.

Duties will include:

  • Taking new enquiries by telephone and Email
  • Sending quotations to new and existing clients
  • Booking in and invoicing clients for upcoming events
  • Preparation and Turnaround of stock for each event
  • Setting up at venues of decorative products and styling items
  • Setting up of Staging, Drapes and Lighting at venues
  • Working on designs with clients for their event theme
  • Making Invitations, Table Plans, Favours and other products we supply

Successful Applicants will be:

  • Prompt, Polite, Well Presented and Approachable
  • Computer Literate and easily able to use Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Confident and happy dealing with clients both face to face and over telephone.

Experience in one of the below areas will be preferred and taken into consideration when selecting applicants for interview:

  • Customer service or sales experience
  • Design experience
  • Craft experience

It is essential that applicants are able to work well and with a clear mind under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines each day. Having a flexible approach to your job is a must to ensure clients changing schedules and deadlines are met.

As a team we work on a weekly rota from Monday through to Sunday. The business is a 24 hour, 7 day a week company. We are looking to place 2 additional members of staff within our team on Part Time contracts which can mean varying shifts each week.

We are happy to take into consideration days and hours applicants can and cannot work as well as how many hours per week you require. All shifts begin and end at our Westcliff Premises and any required travel to venues in between is both paid for and supplied by us.

Salary is paid per hour and is set on a non negotiable wage tier.

Basic Training wage for applicants 21+ is £7.50 an hour with generous increases at every successful completed training module.
