Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for either a Junior Draughtsman looking to step up to the next level or an experienced Structural Steelwork Draughtsman / Detailer to join a successful and busy steelwork fabrication company based in Wickford Essex on a PAYE basis.

We are a well-established steelwork design and Fabrication Company and the successful candidate with join the existing Drawing Office where you will work on your own projects and be responsible for drawings/detailing of steelwork.

On offer for the successful candidate is a very good salary that is negotiable dependent upon experience, excellent working conditions in a friendly environment.

Detailer / Draughtsman role: -

• Work to specs/engineering drawings and produce 3D model of project using Advance Steel (software training may be provided).
• From the Advance Steel model all fabrication and site erection drawings, bills of material etc generated.
• Communicate with internal departments, engineers, and clients etc to ensure deadlines are met.

Requirements: -

• Previous experience working as a structural steelwork Draughtsman would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Competent AutoCAD user. We currently use Autodesk Advance Steel so experience on this would be beneficial but is not essential, as Training can be given to the right candidate.
• Good attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Driving license.
