What are we looking for?

Trainer Assessor in Hospitality and Customer Service

You will work regionally covering Birmingham (south), Sutton Coldfield and Worcester

Fixed Term Full Time for 12 Months

Salary £22,000 gross per annum

We are currently working in partnership with the world’s biggest family restaurant business to recruit a team of exceptional qualified Trainer Assessors who will support their learners across your region in delivering a first class Apprentice journey.

What will the role involve?

Working "in the field" with full caseload, you will be working with one of the largest restaurant chains internationally. You will need access to a car that’s covered by business insurance, along with a clean driving licence.

You’ll manage your own diary and will work a 37.5 hour week, with occasional evening and weekend work as determined by the needs of your learners. You’ll train and support learners to successfully complete their apprenticeship in the workplace, through face to face discussions, remote assessments and the use of internet based portfolios.

You will provide outstanding support to Apprentices alongside Crew Trainers and Functional Skills Tutors using a variety of teaching, learning and assessment methods. You will ensure learners are stretched to their potential in order to obtain maximum output with their potential to achieve their qualification in a timely manner.

What skills are we looking for?

To be successful as a Trainer Assessor at learndirect you must be approachable, self-motivated and possess high levels of empathy. You must be an excellent negotiator and able to use your initiative to solve problems, often involving different stakeholders.

You must be comfortable working with a range of IT packages so that you can access and utilise the technology available. You will need to hold a minimum of level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English in order to assist your learners.
