Position Summary:

1.    
Effectively manage
and execute all training components to support the operation. Ensuring all new
hires are equipped with knowledge of safety policies, procedures and are confident
performing their role

2.    
Effectively manage
new learner classes and floor training for the operation teams

·  Contribute to all facets of the day-to-day
management of the Associate Trainer program

Job Responsibilities:

Ø 
New Hire Training Specialist

o   
Assist in all set up for upcoming training seasons; to include, but not
limited to:

o   
Obtain lists of new hires from talent acquisition and/or contingent
partner

o   
Build facilitator and floor trainer effectiveness through hands coaching
and observations

o   
Audit and file all training documents

o   
Coordinate logistics for training classes including location, tools and
supplies

o   
Advise on potential training needs by way of observations and feedback

o   
Partner with other training team members or operations leaders on the
design and delivery of new programs to

meet business needs, i.e., design new training materials,
maintain current training SOPs and educate trainers

o   
Participate as an L&D representative in cross functional project
task forces to identify effective training processes                    and develop required training solutions,
in support of business initiatives

o   
Recruit and train new trainers prior to spring and fall peak seasons

o   
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to trainers and new associates, and
provide performance progress to          group
leads and supervisors

o   
Gather hindsight feedback each season and provide recommendations for
continuous improvement

o   
Organize and lead PIV training classes

o   
Monitor expirations of HAZ and PIV licenses

Ø 
Manage Peak New Hire Schedules/Rosters

o   
Communicate with Human
Resources, operations leaders and trainers each week to ensure complete
alignment

o   
Re-allocate new
hires as necessary to meet optimal ratios, dept. needs and use resources wisely

o   
Work with MGT to
ensure all new hires have WM ID’s on Day 1

Ø 
Manage Peak Season Readiness Workshops for all
locations


o   
Regularly
communicate with all leaders to ensure training needs are met and class size is
optimal

o   
Secure department
checklists to ensure role-play activities are effective

o   
Schedule trainers
and classroom

o   
Recruit and train
new trainers

o   
Ability to effectively
navigate change and ambiguity, while consistently practicing “assuming positive
intent” and “it matters how we play the game”

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Publisher,
Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe)
