Job description

Lazybones ( www.lazybones.tv )is a very new company and we’re looking for awesome people to help kick start our journey. Conceived as a concept in 2012 and launched in 2013, we are at the very beginning. We’re on a mission to push important short-form video (think great YouTube clips) to the masses using an intricate approach to social media. We have set up some of the foundations of this venture and are now looking to build upon this structure. We’re starting small but aiming big and we’re going to need great people on this adventure, but not necessarily all the time and not necessarily now. We’re a start-up, bootstrapping to do things the right way, so we don’t die as quickly as we grow.

Lazybones is all about taste making content. Video content. We don’t create it, we curate it. And we have set up a vehicle to allow content to distribute across the Internet. If you join us, you will be cognisant of social media, you’ll have an informed opinion and you will be a maven for your chosen field and for what you believe in, whether that’s catwalk couture, Real Madrid or combustion engines. (We’re not necessarily saying these are subjects that might be useful to us, but they might!)

How we work

We’re based in London but we don’t usually work out of offices. Starbucks is our friend, for when we actually need face to face meetings, but we work in a very distributed way, during odd hours and using technology that has blessed our era. You will be expected to have your own phone, email account, access to the Internet (Duh!) and Skype. You’ll also need somewhere to work. If your WiFi stretches to a field, then please knock yourself out and enjoy the sheep. But a bedroom, study, library or couch are all fine. We like coffee shops. Whatever and whenever gets the best out of you is good for us.

We are currently a small team but are looking for some switched on taste makers with impeccable web copy skills to help define our identity in the online space. You will be all knowing about one subject area but be well read about things that are affecting our society today.

You’ll be keen, hard-working and be committed to what you say can achieve. We don’t pay anything at this stage, but for your effort, we can give you experience of start-up work, and a great reference for when you go out into the big bad world.
