Job description
Are you looking for an opportunity to use linguistic skills take ownership of your projects and provide outstanding service to your client? Look no further, one of the 3 internship positions on the Operations Team is designed for you!
During your internship you will gain exposure to all aspects of a language service agency and to the full-life cycle of the translation project management, including:
-Sales – assisting your team with word counts and quotes
-Operations – project management, linguist coordination
-Linguistics – quality assurance, translation, proofreading, text analysis with CAT tools and translation memory building.
No two days are same on the Operations Team! Your tasks will vary depending on the projects running at the time, but fear not, we will ensure that the tasks are always appropriate to your level of experience. During your 4-month internship you will complete a structured training progamme, which will allow you to do your best at work. You will also be mentored by one of your experienced staff and supported by a dedicated group of colleagues.
As you progress during your internship, you will have the chance to share your experience and train your new colleagues.
Collaboration and sharing ideas is a key to the success of our business, so you will work closely with other departments and you will have the chance to participate in short-term projects to make your role more varied. It's all up to you!
Our internships are full time positions, from 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday for 4 months. Enjoyed your time with us? Want to learn more? You will have to chance to discuss your career plans with your mentor and we may be able to extend your internship or even turn it into a permanent position.
Desired profile
Here is a list of the few things we are looking for:
-Recently completed or currently pursuing MA or BA studies in linguistics and translation
-Excellent command of English and another European language
-High level of computer literacy
-Good command of Trados, XTM or other CAT tools is preferred
-6-12 months of previous work experience in an office/agency environment is preferred
-Flexibility and ‘can-do’ attitude
-Ability to work in teams (on-site and remotely)
-Commercial awareness and drive to provide excellent client service
