As the Nordic Data Protection Officer, you will get a unique opportunity to use and broaden your expertise and experience within the area of data privacy laws and compliance in a global environment. Your role is to locally manage the L'Oréal Group's personal data protection policies and processes, for employees, consumers and service providers, in compliance with local law. You will be part of an international, dynamic and competitive environment that requires legal expertise as well as a business mind-set. As you will be working in the Nordics, you should expect moderate travel activity. You will report to the Nordic General Counsel and to the Group Data Protection Officer.
Your key job accountabilities:
•Further implement, optimize and develop the global data privacy compliance program and related activities in the Nordics. Managing data protection policies in compliance with local regulations.
•Adapting standard data protection clauses for consumers, clients, service providers where needed
•Conduct training activities, draft internal standards, provide legal advice and develop compliance tools to support the business needs and enable compliance
•Working together with IT security to guarantee compliance with data protection policies and procedures
•Ensuring documentation of processing incl. maintaining a data protection register
•Cooperating with the Data Protection Authorities
•Handling data breaches' crisis situation with Group DPO if needed
Your profile:
•You have a Master's degree in Law, Commercial Law or equivalent
•You have a minimum of 3 years of work experience within the legal field, preferably also with data privacy law
•You have excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
•You have experience with handling and rolling out compliance programs
•You have the ability to influence key stakeholders, manage relationships and be solution oriented
•You have sound analytical skills and a drive to achieve results
•You are fluent in English and preferably one of the Nordic languages.
