Job Title: Manager, Retail Operations

Job Summary:

The Manager, Retail Operations, manages and coordinates the day-to-day operational responsibilities, the development and execution of daily operations, merchandising, inventory management, cash control and adherence to all company guidelines and procedures within our Kiehl’s and Outlet retail store divisions. This would include projects that support operational efficiency, customer service expectations, store profitability, and proactively identifying training opportunities. This position will recommend and support operational initiatives, policies procedures and processes that are seamless to the customer and simple for store teams to execute at the store levels, drive sales and brand loyalty.

Job Responsibilities:

·  Develop and foster an open line of communication with the retail stores population and cross-functional teams
·  Work closely with the corporate retail office to develop policies and procedures to drive efficiencies and streamline processes
·  Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices
·  Inventory management process, tracking and reporting
·  Conduct monthly analysis on sensitive inventory movements
·  Shipping process management and training
·  Management of store assets and cash services
·  Partner with loss prevention team on store investigations
·  Oversee vendor management and procurement for retail operations
·  Support the management of the operations expense budget
·  Management of store collateral and supplies ordering process and budget
·  Manage the creation, implementation and maintenance documentation of store processes to support the store operations
·  Ensures compliance to general accounting practices and policies across all stores
·  Manage in store event policies and guidelines
·  Ensure compliance with audit compliance directives
·  Functional support on the point of sale application
·  Liaison to all functional teams on in store procedures
·  Support the field sales team with day-to-day operations of the retail stores
·  New Store employee training on policy & procedure and retail store systems
·  Support New Store Opening/Renovations/Closure
·  Special projects assigned

Experience, Competencies and Physical Requirements:

·  Business Degree in related field preferred
·  3-5+ years of experience in retail operations or related field
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including both speaking, presenting and listening
·  Extremely well organized; able to effectively multitask while maintaining professionalism and composure
·  Able to prioritize and manage time effectively, and to balance competing demands and priorities in a very fast-paced environment
·  Strong administrative and leadership skills to maintain high standards and coordinate staff effectively
·  Flexible, diplomatic, detail oriented style with professional, positive manner
·  Self-starter with a high level of professionalism and demonstrated initiative, judgment, decisiveness, confidence and discretion.
·  Excellent problem solving ability
·  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel; proficient.
·  Ability to sit and use normal office equipment (phone, computer etc) more than 90% of the day.
·  Ability to lift up to 30lbs
·  Ability to travel 30-40% or when needed
·  Valid drivers license and ability to operate company vehicles
