Assistant Manager, Social Media – Maybelline NY
Primary Roles and responsibilities:
· Serve as the Community Manager across Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube & Twitter by posting content and reactively and proactively engaging with fans, followers and consumers in a timely manner
· Uphold the brand image by following persona guidelines for tone, while guiding the L’Oreal Customer Care Center team for customer service engagement needs
· Act as the social copywriter for organic + paid social content for the aforementioned social channels – you will be the voice of the brand!
· Work closely with Social Strategist on the following:
· Monthly analytics and consumer reports
· Ad hoc social listening asks covering all owned and top competitor channels
· Manage curation of UGC onto site and email through Olapic and ensure UGC displays on site
· Stay current on new social media platforms, tools and best practices with the confidence to present important developments to the internal team
· Assist in content ideation based on rising and declining trends in products and beauty looks, search trends, etc.
· Create content briefs for social campaigns
Secondary Roles and responsibilities:
· Support Social Media Manager on the following:
· Management support for in-house content shoots (assisting in sourcing product, call sheet, etc.)
· Management support for live streaming channels
· Work with Brand Comms on social influencer activations (i.e. Social Natives)
Qualifications:
· At least 2-3 years of social media experience at a digital/social media agency or publication (with an emphasis on lifestyle, beauty and/or fashion brands)
· Exceptional writing skills with a go-getter attitude to engage with consumers and influencers with the utmost positivity
· Extraordinary collaborative team spirit and clear communicator with internal teams (Digital, Brand Comms, Marketing, Global Team Counterparts, CMO)
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to muti-task
· Ability to navigate complex team matrix
· Superior Project Management Skills – you constantly have innovative ideas for how to make a situation or plan more efficient and successful
· Professional communication skills to work closely with internal teams and agency partners
· Experience reporting and analyzing social media KPI’s with familiarity of Spredfast, RivalIQ, NetBase and/or similar tools
· Always signing up for newest social networks and discovering ways to engage in new channels and create timely, relevant content
