Position Reports To

Position Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent undergraduate with a digital, communications or marketing focus. This intern will learn about social media strategy, programming and analytics, while gaining exposure to other key departments such as marketing, education, sales and e-commerce. This position will work closely with AVP of Digital & PR and Social Media Manager to drive brand love and excitement through engaging social media content that brings each brand to life online.

Job Responsiblities

Community Management:

·  Oversee day-to-day 'always-on' social media content scheduling and moderation of all organic and paid social campaigns for US social channels (including: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube) and Global Instagram for two brands
·  Create and track links for posts driving to Kerastase-USA.com
·  Serve as the Community Manager across all social platforms by reactively and proactively engaging with fans, followers and influencers in a timely manner
·  Act as the social copywriter for organic social content. You will be the voice of the brand in social!
·  Work closely with Social Media Manager to optimize each platform for performance and engagement
·  Curate User Generated Content (UGC) for website and social media channel usage
·  Adapt monthly content calendars provided by DMI to better suit the U.S. audience
·  Moderate and execute prizing for giveaway/contests; working closely with legal on rules and requirements
·  Work cross functionally with marketing, education, e-commerce and sales to share content provided by DMI and to align on, create, edit and deliver content and messaging for launches and special animations
·  Own creation and execution of monthly digital content kits to share with salon partners

Social Media Strategy:

·  Assist Social Media Manager in developing big picture strategies for Kérastase & Shu Art of Hair to grow brand love, share of voice, followers and engagement
·  Spearhead monthly social reporting with Social Media Manager, highlighting social KPI’s across owned, earned and competitor channels with tools including RivalIQ, NetBase, Spreadfast, Tribe Dynamics and Traackr
·  Utilize social listening for trends tracking to inform larger team of opportunities to create nimble social content with tools including Netbase
·  Stay current on new social media platforms, tools and best practices with the confidence to present important developments to the internal team
·  Work closely with cross-functional departments across the brand to execute strategic, engaging social campaigns and other programming that requires social support

Job Qualifications

·Undergraduate degree completed within the last 12 months

·  Strong knowledge of and passion for social media

·Interest in beauty/fashion; keen eye for trends

·  Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
·  Understanding of artwork/design layout files a plus (Photoshop, Adobe, In Design, etc.)
·  Exceptional writing skills, with a go-getter attitude, to positively engage with stylists, consumers and influencers online
·  Experience with copywriting a plus
·  Have the ability to be resourceful while working within brand aesthetic and tone of voice
·  Strong attention to detail
