Job description
Target organization model for Vendor Management
Vendor Managementenables the systematic governance ofstrategic suppliersto optimize value throughout the relationshiplifecycle. TheZoneVendor Management Officerreportsdirectly to theregional office of the CIO (and functionnalytothe group VMO – to be defined later).
Main Objective:promotethe alignmentof the sourcing strategy withthe IS/ITstrategy, act as a change agent in the Zone and performday to day operationalactivities
Main responsabilities include :
Sourcing strategy management
•Formalize the IT sourcing strategy for each activity (insource/outsource, global/regional,…)
•Classify, rationalize and optimize the vendor portfolio, and concentrate efforts on managing the most strategic vendors in collaboration with IT Purchasing
•Contributeto thealignment of theSupplierRelationshipManagement (SRM)approach across the organization
Supplier Strategy and Supplier Innovation
•Follow and formalize keysuppliers strategies
•Define cleartargets for value creationin collaborationwith the ZoneIT executives, the Purchasing Department, the Finance Departmentand supplier’ssenior executives
•Alignjointinvestments and shared risks with appropriate engagement model
•Reviewinitiatives fostering innovation andtrackprogressduring formal Business Reviews
Contract and Financial Management
•Perform rigorousreviewof financial management,includingspend, demand and forecast management. Review Change orders andsupportIT Purchasing Department during negotiations
ServiceImprovements and Risk Management
•Conduct monthly or quarterlybusiness reviewsand overseestrategic vendor’s overall performance actively engaging with the L’Oreal Service Delivery Managers, rating where it applies the resourcesperformanceagainst multiple criteria assuring L’Oreal is continually getting the best team to ensureSLAs
•Developactionplan(s)to address supplier improvement areasin coordination with global purchasinginitiativesfindings (“SBWA” and “SRM”)
•Assessand report on the risk level of vendors based on financial, skills, tools and the use of thirdparties
•Planfor any vendor audits to beconducted
Transformation
•Drive IT sourcing transformation activities in the Zone, according to the stream leader action plan
RequiredSkills :
•Minimum 10years of experience inIT with at least 5 being involved in vendor management,including management of third-party vendors,sourcing initiatives and financialexpertise.
•Deep market knowledge of IT products and services (software, hardware and outsourcing)and current trends (cloud, digital and agile)
•An ability to determine contractual and financial exposure and aid with contract negotiation, and develop the vendor management mission, goals and objectives
•Strongprocessmanagement skills, with the ability to handle multiplevendors, anda wide range of tasks
•Ability to bridge communications between the IT organization,Finance organization, purchasingorganization and itscustomers, with a focus on developing an understanding of what the IT organization and its vendors can deliver and how that can be measured most effectively
•Expertiseusing strategicsourcing framework todrivesourcing decisionsandcost efficiencies via sourcing rationalization
•Strong packaging and presentation skills with the ability to analyze and explain pricing modelsand P&L impact tosenior management
•Strong understanding ofcontractterms and conditions
•Excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with seniormanagement
