Job description
Goals and Objectives
Responsible for selling Redken products and supporting sales by focusing on the development of salon business in a designated geographical area. This includes growth and development of existing accounts as well as the generation of new salon accounts. The Redken “Technical Sales Educator” works with the Regional Education Manager, BDM, DSCs, Redken Artists, distributor stores and salons to accomplish set goals and objectives.
The Redken “Technical Sales Educator” reports to the Regional Education Manager to establish participation in and content of Distributor shows and Training programs for Salons, Redken Artists, DSC’s and Store employees. The Redken “Artistic Educator” is involved in the planning and execution of educational programs with the Regional Education Manager and Business Development Manager to fulfill market needs, meet distributor sales objectives and support new product launches.
Competencies and Requirements
-3 Year minimum of stylist related experience
-Advanced technical hairdressing and teaching skills
-Advanced sales and communication skills
-Strong leadership skills
-Proven sales and communication skills
-Professional attitude and fashionable image
-Ability to travel extensively
-Ability to be flexible and accept change and be a team player
-Valid driver’s license
-Fluent in English
Functions
-Work with key accounts and C5A salons in ensuring ongoing training and understanding of new products and programs
-Provide ongoing training for store employees and co-ordinate any special in-store Matrix events
-Reviewing and reporting monthly education that has taken place in region
-Submit weekly activity report and monthly preview of upcoming tasks
-Co-ordinate and participate in shows as determined by Education Manager and Business -Development Manager
-Detail with DSCs to create education and business opportunities
-Support DSC new account opportunities with appropriate classes and demos
-Qualify new opportunities with DSCs to create and target hit list
-Classes to be done in major account salons
-On going DSC training and store employee training
-Technical support to the stylist
-Assist Education Manager in coordinating local events and shows
