Responsibility 1:

o   Provide technical project leadership for the Natural polymer platform based functional vegetal biomass transformations through Organic synthesis/Green chemistry route & design

o   Be responsible for Biblio search, Route design, Organic synthesis strategy and characterization of Natural polymers for applications as Natural  Film formers, Elastomers and/or Smart long lasting coating materials.

o   Co-create new stretchable cross-linked polymers with transversal teams for diverse cosmetic applications.

Responsibility 2:

o   Be highly motivated with a passion for Science, who is energetic and eager to build new skills in a new Research field.

o   Have a creative approach to solve problems and imaginative ideas to build innovations for the team.

Responsibility 3:

o   Use Scientific hypothesis driven research to deliver innovative natural polymer materials across a diverse set of technically challenging projects for both skin and hair applications.

o   Explore chemical pathways and material properties based on monomer structure in a state of the art laboratory setting using Density functional theory (DFT) calculations based on pure chemistry of target polymers.

o   Have the ability to recognize patentable ideas from prior art searches and generate critical data based on technical gaps/problems for new inventions.

Requirement 1

o   M.Sc. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering or Ph.d in Chemical Sciences or Organic Chemistry

o   Experience in Polymer Chemistry (synthesis & characterization)

o   A minimum of 3+ years of Postdoc experience or 5+ industry experience

o   Demonstrated experience working effectively with global and transversal teams

Requirement 2

o   Excellent written and verbal communication skills

o   Competency in problem solving and 

o   Competency in statistical DOE data analysis and experimentation

o  Hands-on experience and working knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry or Green chemistry (ability to identify & transform novel monomers, etc.) and familiar with analytical instrumentation (GPC/SEC, NMR, FT-IR, LC/MS, etc.)

         

          

o    A polymer synthesis scientist using green chemical transformations and applied polymer science (physical, chemical, material and rheological characterization of polymers

o    Well-organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven team player

o    Anaccomplished author withpublications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals

o    Capable of  effectively communicating research results timely (maintain organized lab notebook, writing technical reports and presenting results to internal and external managers & stakeholders)
