Junior Supply Chain Associate (12-month internship)

Location: Cranbury, NJ 

Reports To: Sr. Engineer – Physical Flows

Job Summary:

The Jr Supply Chain Associate– CI&Q Intern will partner with our Continuous Improvement & Quality team to support the Distribution Center in the development, maintenance, and roll-out of best practices pertaining to Labor Management tools & Quality processes. They will perform labor data analyses, manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), develop & validate labor standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Physical Distribution Network.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Serve as the superuser of the current labor management system by implementing improvements, providing trainings, and leading meetings to review Labor Management System (LMS) data results.
·  Validate time study standards and Work Instructions (WI)
·  Drive root cause analysis to trouble shoot LMS or distribution concerns.
·  Help complete various tasks and projects needed to close gaps from recent audit findings.
·  Develop Power Bi dashboards as needed to optimize operations.
·  Create videos that will be used as operational trainings across physical distribution.
·  Provide clear communication through presentations to the logistics executive team on various projects.
·  Help as needed in the implementation of a new warehouse management system.
·  Work in person and/or virtually to support in other business needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

·  Candidates must have received a Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months OR must have graduated with a Master’s degree within the last 12 months.
·  Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Packaging or Industrial Engineering preferred.
·  Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing, permanent basis without sponsorship.
·  Must demonstrate autonomy and initiative in the way they manage their responsibilities and tasks.
·  Must demonstrate ability to build relationships and collaborate in Physical Distribution environment.
·  Have knowledge of Microsoft Office
·  Power Bi or cloud-based dashboard/report building, a plus.
·  Studies in Lean Six Sigma, a plus
