What You Will Do:

L'Oréal LUXE is searching for a data driven, detail oriented, Business Analyst to lead deep dive analyses and advanced analytics projects to support our direct-to-consumer retail and e-commerce distribution channels. This role will work under the Senior Manager of Analytics to develop and execute an analytics roadmap. Additionally, this role will work closely with our sales planning and field sales team to help assist with strategic customer-centric sales planning and in-store data capture. The expectation is that this individual will become an expert on the LUXE customer by developing and disseminating customer insights and analyses that support business objectives and will work with analytics and data capture on a fleet-wide, regional, and individual store level.

Job Duties and Accountabilities:

·  Responsible for analytic coverage to our various D2C brands in luxe division.
·  Analyses roadmap to encompass various different verticals
·  Manage ad-hoc analyses in support of the business with key stakeholders (i.e. sales, planning, operations, marketing) to help drive top-of-mind strategies and activations
·  Service the sales teams/field teams as a champion of data capture and customer segments, continuously working to inform and educate the sales teams on customer data best practices
·  Assist with omnichannel pilots and projects as it pertains to customer data, specifically helping drive the “digitization” of retail stores

Key Challenges, Issues and Complexity

This role requires sound judgment and decision-making skills. Candidates will be tasked with empowering brands by answering key analytical questions regarding their businesses. The candidate will need to often query and manipulate data in order to provide findings and recommendations. Candidates will also need the ability to communicate with a range of division/brand leaders across the digital, marketing and retail teams. Given the role and numerous short-term/long-term initiatives, candidates will need to effectively manage timelines.

Querying and manipulation may entail utilizing SQL, Python or R to extract business data from Loreal’s database and create digestible and effective presentations/recommendations to leaders. Other large projects may be building important forecasting tools, dashboards and reporting.

 

Organization Structure and Key Working Relationships 

·  Works under luxe D2C consumer insights team
·  Will report into Senior Manager of consumer insights & analytics
·  Business with manager will be conducted both in-person and via electronic communication given hybrid work model

Job Dimensions

·  This role will partner closely with the CRM organization, working with our Consumer Data Activation Leads (CDAL) to drive business while also partnering with digital, marketing retail and accelerator teams
·  Advise brands and leaders on how best to drive business.
·  Responsible for empowering brands to achieve CRM and sales plans through analytics

What We Are Looking For:

Job Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Analytics, Sales/Marketing, Information Systems/Technology, Business Administration, or other related fields
·  2-3 years’ experience working with SQL - mastery of SQL is a must
·  2-3 years’ related business experience, preferably in a direct-to-consumer Retail or Digital channel
·  Experience with modern dashboarding and data visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, etc.
·  Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite is a must - heavy focus on Excel and PowerPoint
·  Ability to effectively reconcile the needs of business stakeholders with the IT and Database management teams
·  Knowledge of integration concepts as they relate to sourcing data from disparate sources
·  Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as a member of a fast paced, dynamic team, servicing stakeholders at both the headquarters and in the sales field
·  Self-motivated, results-oriented, and a strategic thinker with strong time management and prioritization skills Preferred Qualifications:

·  Masters program in data analytics
·  Certifications in customer insights/analytics
·  Experience working with statistical analytics languages (Python, R, SAS, etc)
