Financial Controller - Operations Division L'Oreal

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a Finance Controller to join the management team of our Operations division. The role will be based predominantly at our Distribution Centre in Dandenong South with occasional travel once a fortnight to our Head Office on St Kilda Road. Working closely with the Divisional General Manager and the Group CFO you will manage the P&L for the Operations division of our business. The role will require the successful candidate to be the “economic conscience” for the business and will manage budgeting, management reporting and analysis, and provide insight and guidance around business drivers to support decision-making. In addition, you will:

·  Manage the processes associated with the Plan, Budget and Trends of the Operations Division, assessing the major objectives and providing analysis and insights to the members of the management committee, and Senior Management
·  Implement processes, group systems and procedures to guarantee the coherence, relevance, and reliability of management information flows and financial flows in line with the Group's Standards.
·  Ensure that the procedures and good practices pertaining to Internal Control are applied.
·  Draw attention to the risks and opportunities and optimize solutions for the Operations division. 

ABOUT YOU

You will ideally have a commercial background and business facing experience and thrive in a complex and creative environment.  A strong networker, you will be able to establish credibility and buy in from stakeholders at all levels of our business, driven by a relationship based approach.  Previous experience within the FMCG or retail industries will be highly sought as will experience working with SAP.  This role is LÓreal’s take on a management accountant profile, but controller does not appear in the job title by accident.  In this fast paced business those who demonstrate the ability to hold firm on the desired principles will be highly regarded.
