COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE ANALYST

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Reports to the Vice President, Competitive Intelligence
- Purpose: Create competitive advantage for Air Liquide by ensuring the appropriate level of awareness of competitor actions, capabilities, performance and strategies at various levels of the organization.
- Develop and Maintain an effective competitive intelligence network
- Work within each business unit to develop an effective network of competitive intelligence correspondents who report, utilize and disseminate competitive intelligence within their respective business units.
- Work closely with AL Group CI team to ensure the proper global perspective and coordination.
- Act as administrator for CI databases and subscription services
- FirstRain
- Manage relationship with vendor
- Actively pursue opportunities to improve the use of the service for our more than 600 users by periodically monitoring the use of the service, on boarding new users, and working with the vendor to develop and implement targeted training for new and existing users.
- Competitive Operations Database and develop new tools as needed
- Manage the analyst network maintaining the data within the system
- Identify & implement improvements to the system(s)
- Market Share Trajectory
- Actively manage and improve the market share trajectory based on know Air Liquide and competitor investments, acquisitions and divestitures
- Regular activity and deliverables:
- Continuously monitor, analyze and communicate the activity of competitors
- Draft and distribute a Quarterly performance benchmark for North and South America
- Manage and consolidate the Market Share Survey for North America
- Support the creation of Board documents relating to competitors and the competitive environment
- Support the development of presentation materials for various internal training and/or presentationS
- Support ad hoc strategic projects for business units and / or Clusters within the Hub
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree including finance, statistics, engineering or other analytical area of study
