Air Liquide is the world leader in gases for industry, health and the environment, and is present in over 80 countries with 50,000 employees.
Air Liquide procures and sells through its products large amounts of energy. SEGE is an AL subsidiary which provides energy-related services to all Europe Industries Affiliates for the management of their energy exposure, including the direct sourcing and supply of energy (natural gas, power, carbon credit).
SEGE is organized as a trading desk around 3 “offices” to ensure strict segregation of duties between transaction execution and control: Front-Office, Back-Office and Middle-Office. You will be part of the Back-Office, reporting to the Back-Office Manager. You will also be in close contact with the Financial Shared Services Center of Air Liquide in Benelux which provides accounting & treasury services to SEGE.
SEGE is a recent organization which has been successfully operating for 4 years. SEGE is preparing the next wave of developments within the company program NEOS. This is including transformation of the business processes and of the supporting IT systems to manage the new businesses and to reach the next level of maturity and of efficiency in terms of business administration.
You will be responsible for the project of automation of REMIT reporting (European regulatory reporting of all energy transactions).
Your will actively participate to the 4 key processes of the back-office :
● Confirmation of energy transactions executed by SEGE Front-Office
● Customer billing
● Control of supplier invoices and discrepancies management
● Cashflow management
You will participate in the project of streamlining and transformation of these business processes. In particular, you will contribute to the implementation of a new billing system. You will be fully involved in the redesign of the cash flow management and of the management of discrepancies with suppliers invoices, taking advantage of new digital systems being implemented (trading portfolio, Google suite).
Master in finance/business administration
Interested in streamlining of business processes
Organized, and systematic to achieves goals within the timeline.
Ability to master the key contractual elements of an energy contract, including language for the pricing clauses.
Computer modeling skills and proficiency in the use of Google Sheet/Ms Excel. Familiar with programming environment (Google script or VBA) will be a plus.
