Overview of the opportunity:
The Buyer, Strategic Sourcing (Software) reports to a Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Software) is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the category plan for the Software category. This role also leads the sourcing and contractual and commercial negotiations with third parties on medium/low complexity/medium risk transactions and supports the negotiations on high value/high complexity/high risk transactions within these categories.

What you will do:

Strategy and Business Planning
Supports the development and implementation and/or refresh of the Software category strategies and annual category plans.
·  Analyzes and prepares reports on the supply market for products within assigned category/categories
·  Researches and consolidates procurement activities, for assigned category/categories, in KPMGI and member firms and identifies potential opportunities and risks Business Operations
Supports client demand planning and reporting activities for the assigned category/categories.
·  Monitors and reports on procurement activities relative to the category plans
·  Prepares materials for stakeholder meetings including reports on supplier, trend, and spend information Supports the execution of approved category plans for assigned category/categories
·  Recommends supplier segmentation based on optimal alignment with business requirements
·  Monitors and updates preferred supplier lists Leads the sourcing and contractual and commercial negotiations with third parties for low risk/complex transaction within assigned category/categories.
·  Negotiates contractual terms and conditions, detailed statements of work, pricing, service levels, and executes agreements (may include MSAs including terms and conditions, rate cards, SLAs and SOWs)
·  Engages subject matter experts and/or individuals who can best influence the outcome of supplier negotiations
·  Addresses the requirements of the various stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, clients, Data Protection, Information Security, Legal, member firm procurement teams and Independence), balancing the business need, the commercial value and risk mitigation Supports the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Software) in the sourcing, contractual and commercial negotiation activities with third parties for high value/high complexity/high risk transactions within assigned category/categories.

Provides ongoing support for procurement activities for assigned category/categories.
·  Provides advice and counsel to clients, as needed
·  Assists member firms in negotiations with products/services Escalates risk and stakeholder issues to the Manager, Sourcing Operations

Relationship Management
Maintains ongoing productive relationships with staff in key member firms, Internal Stakeholders and Suppliers

Professional Leadership

Participates in internal forums to:
·  Build professional expertise
·  Establish a network of experts
·  Identify opportunities to continuously improve Global Procurement Operations
·  Identify best practices for potential implementation in Global Procurement Operation
What you bring to the role:

·  Completion of University/College degree
·  Certified Procurement Professional qualifications is preferred ( CSCP/CPSM/CSCMP)
·  3-4 yrs. experience in a procurement/ buyer role with working knowledge of the Service Procurement within a Software Category
·  knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles
·  Experience negotiating commercial, legal, standard and moderately complex terms and conditions for Software category deals
·  Ability to problem solve and prioritize
·  Informs decisions with data
·  Adapts communication style
·  Negotiate strong contracts
