KPMG's Financial Management Advisory Practice helps organizations maximize efficiencies and drive business value across the enterprise. We do this by working with CFOs and other finance leaders to help them transform their finance function using the core drivers of change: process optimization, target operating model development, and information technology.

We empower finance functions to become more insightful and true business partners. We are trusted advisors in budgeting, and forecasting, close and consolidation, reporting and analytics, and all other areas of finance.

We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant in Financial Management Advisory to join us in our Calgary office.

Responsibilities
·  Help delivery projects to improve finance functions in one or more of the following financial management functional areas: budgeting and forecasting, financial close and consolidation, management and financial reporting, cash management and program accounting, working capital management, benchmarking, shared services, and/or financial transformation
·  Design and implement process improvements and systems within the functional areas listed above
·  Serve as a liaison between clients and upper management
·  Preparation of reports and presentations to clients
·  Assist with the creation of proposals and other business development activities to help meet revenue targets At times, business needs arise and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.

Skills & Qualifications
·  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field from an accredited university with excellent credentials
·  Completion of an Accounting or Financial Designation or MBA
·  One to five (1- 5) years of combined advisory or relevant industry experience in financial management
·  Experience in the energy industry is considered an asset
·  Project delivery or consulting experience is preferred
·  Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate with client stakeholders, work closely in a collaborative team environment, and lead teams and project deliverables
·  Experience in business development and large scale change initiatives
·  Experience directing meaningful process and strategy improvements that demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work creatively to address client requirements
·  Previous experience working with technology that enables finance services, such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Hyperion, and Business Intelligence tools, is considered an asset
