KPMG’s Small Business and Corporate Accounting (SBCA) business is one of the UK firm’s Strategic Growth Initiatives focusing on small businesses and start-ups. KPMG has made significant investment in developing digital technology with the aim of revolutionising the delivery of services to SMEs.
The SBCA team not only works with many fast growing SME clients, but also with some of the UK’s largest FTSE100 businesses. These larger client’s typically have a large number of smaller Franchises supporting their business.
The SBCA team has significant plans for growth. To support this growth we are recruiting a Retailer and Franchise Accountant, who, supported by an online platform will support our clients with their accounting and tax needs.
The candidate will be supporting trainee and qualified Accountants with management and financial accounts reporting, variance analysis and data analytics across our Retail & Franchise clients.
Candidates should have the desire to develop the core skills of management and financial accounting. The scope of work can vary from client to client and therefore adaptability is key.
The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders. Confidence in liaising with colleagues and clients is essential, along with the ability to prioritise and manage a workload.
The individual will report in to an experienced Team Leader.
The successful candidate will have had a minimum of 1-2 years’ finance work experience.
One of the following professional qualifications is preferred but not essential -
- Degree – 2.1 (or higher) in a finance-related discipline;
- AAT – Qualified, or studying towards
