Job description
The Network Support Analyst is a key technical resource responsible for managing and supporting KPMG's network infrastructure, reporting to the Manager of Network Infrastructure. This person will be responsible for implementing, managing and supporting our local and wide area networks along with the tools that provide proactive monitoring, analysis and reporting on KPMG's networks. This person is a member of a nation-wide team of technical support staff focused on ongoing support and new deployments of KPMG's IT infrastructure. This person has strong communication skills and should be comfortable working in an environment that deals with various levels of management. On-call support will be required
What you will do
· Support and manage KPMG's local and wide area network infrastructure, with a focus on proactive improvement of network health - solving issues before they become problems
· Support, administration and configuration of corporate firewalls, including Palo Alto and Cisco platforms,As well as corporate load balancers
· Support, administration and configuration of network monitoring and analysis tools including Cisco NAM/AVC, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, NetQOS Reporter Analyzer, NetVoyant, Bluecoat Reporter and others
· Apply the suite of network management tools to new or evolving services, such as voice and video, Skype for Business and video conferencing to create reports for analysis, identifying trends and make recommendations
· Work closely with Operations, Support and Architecture team members to implement proactive approaches to monitoring and reporting on network
· Document operational processes and troubleshooting guides for Network Support and Operations staff
· Monitor and measure performance with regards to Service Level Agreements and KPI's
· Monitor and resolve incident and problem tickets as they relate to network issues
· Manage multiple concurrent projects and ensure implementation of network services and monitoring solutions to meet ITS and business requirements
· Perform application updates, security patches and configuration changes on network hardware, services and management tools
· Work with Cisco and other vendors to resolve network issues in the environment
· Support and train Network Support and Operations resources
· Provide rotational on-call support outside of regular business hours

What you bring to the role
· College Diploma or University Degree in the field of computer science and/or5 years equivalent work experience
· Minimum 3 years of experience supporting routing and switching in a complex Cisco based network environment that includes voice, video and data. Experience with Skype for Business is preferred
· Minimum of 2 years of experience of Palo Alto Firewall administration, Load Balancer administration, Netscaler SDX/MPX preferred
· Cisco CCNA or CCNP would be an asset
· Working knowledge of QoS concepts and configuration
· Extensive experience in using network monitoring & management tools, including Cisco Prime Infrastructure, NAM and AVC, for troubleshooting and proactive analysis
· Ability to review network flows and metrics proactively to determine potential trouble spots in the network before they lead to business impact
· Working knowledge of TCP/IP and network routing protocols; understanding of Netflow and SNMP protocols
· Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
· Highly self-motivated and keen attention to detail
· Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
· Strong customer service orientation
