We invite highly motivated, dynamic professionals to join our growing Major Projects Advisory team in the area of Asset Management.
KPMG's Global Major Projects Advisory Team focuses on helping clients mitigate issues and negotiate through the maze that is the construction industry. We help support their fundamental business issues to help them achieve their aspirations - managing schedule, increasing revenues and optimising their investment into their assets, monitoring and managing OPEX and CAPEX spends and provide the assessment and performance improvement development of all aspects of Asset Management, including business performance improvement strategies for both new investment and operating facilities.
We help companies set up asset management strategic frameworks, training for the client teams, and provide consultancy services to global best practices across the transport, utilities and real estate sector. We also help provide a digital analysis solution to clients who are looking to move on to the next big thing in understanding what insights their data is able to provide them, as well as global benchmarks based on the global engagements we have delivered to help clients achieve their goals.
We are currently seeking candidates for our Major Projects Advisory team in our Singapore office.
The responsibilities include:
• Asset Management gap analysis and understanding of ISO 55000, including Performance Improvement roadmaps and implementation;
• Conducting reviews of documents to ISO 55000, including understanding the relevance of document to the requirements of ISO 55000;
• Review to the Asset Management Strategies for clients, supporting the senior management;
• Using technical understanding and experience to provide insights to data analytics in asset management;
• Some knowledge and understanding of Asset Management software available in the market, SAP EAM, IBM Maximo etc., as well as asset management data analytics programmes;
• Work with engagement teams to perform field work, including data collection, analysis, and work paper documentation; prepare, edit, and proofread narrative reports and presentations of observations and recommendations;
• Work closely, but independently, under the direction of Managers, Directors and Partners; and
• Assist with marketing and business development including proposal preparation and building client relationship.
Personality traits leading to a good fit into the team include independence and resourceful thinking with strong interpersonal, organisational, presentation and report writing skills. A naturally inquisitive mind with the inclination to take on new challenges. Teamwork, strong project management and interpersonal skills are a necessity.
The ideal candidate should have:
• Two to four years working experience in asset management teams set within transport, utilities and real estate sectors, set within the public and/or private sector;
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Building Science, Project Management , or a related field from an accredited college/university; with the aim to attain a professional qualification is preferred;
• Field industry experience on different project types and public and/or private clients;
• Asset Management delivery, including working knowledge of ISO 55000 series, performing of engagements that involve life-cycle costing models, cost-benefit analysis, conditioning assessments including replacement calculation, knowledge of different AM systems will be beneficial, but not essential to the application;
• Experience using various tools like MS Project, MS Excel, MS powerpoint, SAP EAM or IBM Maximo and other toolsets will be highly beneficial;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be a good team player;
• Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, records retention and work paper organisational skills; willingness and ability to travel extensively or be based on client's office on a project by project basis; and
