KPMG indirect tax provides advice to clients across the UK in respect of the various indirect tax regimes in the UK. We work closely with our clients to understand their businesses and ensure that they meet their obligations and manage the complex issues which can arise with the application of Indirect Tax legislation.

KPMG Overview

KPMG is part of a global network of firms that offers Audit, Tax & Pensions, Consulting, Deal Advisory and Technology services. Through the talent of over 16,000 colleagues, we bring our creativity and insight to our clients’ most critical challenges.

With offices across the UK, we work with everyone from small start-ups and individuals to major multinationals, in virtually every industry imaginable. Our work is often complex, yet our vision is simple: to be the clear choice for our clients, for our people and for the communities we work in.

Job Description

KPMG’s Indirect Tax team is seeking top talent to further enhance the team’s exceptional reputation and bring its ambitious vision to life. Now is a time of unprecedented change for Tax. Tax is under scrutiny like never before; developments in digitisation combined with increasing globalisation means that taxes on consumption, like indirect tax, are becoming increasingly important to governments. Brexit provides even further opportunities to add real value and assurance to our clients. KPMG are looking for talented and energetic professionals excited by the prospect of building a career in indirect tax.

Indirect Tax, as a tax on transactions, impacts almost everything a business does and applies in many countries around the world. Many more countries are anticipated to introduce some kind of Indirect Tax regime in the future. Being an effective indirect tax advisor requires a real desire to get to the heart of a client's business, to understand how they deal with indirect taxes - both nationally and internationally - and to be curious about the opportunity to help businesses manage risk and drive value through process improvement. We play a vital role in helping our clients to successfully navigate this minefield. We develop strong, long-lasting relationships with clients across all business sectors and size, from some of the world’s biggest companies through to start-ups and public sector bodies.

Whether you like analysing the law, really understanding how business works or developing strong client relationships, the KPMG Indirect Tax team is for you. We are looking to recruit motivated individuals across the UK who are seeking a real challenge, at the Indirect Tax Assistant level.

Once you have submitted an application, you may be requested to take part in a short telephone interview. If successful, you will be invited to join one of our Regional Open Evenings (date TBC), in London or Manchester, where you will have the opportunity to network with KPMG Indirect Tax professionals and to find out whether this is the right choice for you.
Our Open Evenings will be held in Quarter 1 of 2019.

To register your interest in attending, please apply below. Applications close on the 4th February 2019.

If you are successful, you will join us in undertaking your intensive Indirect Tax technical training programme for three months in late spring/early summer onsite at one of our offices.
