Job description
The Forensic Technology practice is interested in hiring a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join its Evidence and Discovery Management (EDM) team. The practice focuses on assisting law firms and corporate legal and investigation departments as well as others by providing litigation support services in the context of litigation, investigation and due diligence. Our National team is made up of certified ediscovery consultants, information technology and security specialists, former police officers, lawyers and litigation support professionals.
Role and Responsibilities
· Answer questions from clients with respect to best practices and technical solutions to data processing and document review projects;
· Respond to clients demands and needs on a regular basis;
· Maintain and improve their Evidence and Discovery Management knowledge;
· Collaborate with the other professionals in the firm, with an important focus on the EDM team needs;
· Assist throughout the engagements' lifecycle, including case creation, review planning and support, production, and archival;
· Assist on various administrative tasks related to the operation of the EDM team;
· KPMG Forensic Consultants may find themselves working on several engagements at any one time, reporting to several partners.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
· Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
· Good time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
· Ability to understand the clients request and provide the appropriate technical response
· Ability to use and understand complex boolean logic
· Experience practicing forensic technology, ediscovery or litigation support work, considered an asset
· Ideally 2 years of experience working in an electronic documents review platform
