BI Engineer - iNAV

Job description

iNAV is an innovative Data & Analytics tool developed in-house by KPMG Luxembourg to provide specialized services in the areas of portfolio valuation and investment fund benchmarking. Due to its success and rapid growth, iNAV services are now used globally within the KPMG network to provide clients with a broad range of analytical reports.

Job purpose

The BI Engineer develops, builds, maintains, and tests BI architectures and solutions.

The key responsibilities of this position include:
·  Developing, building, maintaining, and testing BI architectures and solutions
·  Collaborating and sharing knowledge and expertise with the D&A and Project Management Team members and all project stakeholders
·  Communicating on an ongoing basis with Development team and Project Management team as well as with Business team
·  Responsibility to oversee the work of BI Analyst
·  Responsibility to gather the business needs and customer experience
·  Being a technical leader and a preferred point of contact for all BI queries
·  Proposing and implementing improvements to the existing BI solutions
·  Participating to estimation process
·  Documenting software specifications & characteristics of the BI solutions
·  Respecting and proposing internal processes and development methodologies/strategies
·  Ensuring respect and implementation of Application Lifecycle Management
·  Coordinating development project

This role requires a self-motivated individual who is proactive in finding accurate solutions to problems and able to analyses them with a positive mind. Your knowledge and communication skills will be required to provide a customer-focused service.

Requirements to access to this function
·  Bachelor degree with a focus on marketing, communication, finance, mathematics and quantitative fields
·  Work experience requirements: 3 years of experience
·  Thorough knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or other BI tools
·  Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL and comfortable writing and analyzing complex queries/stored Procedure + Basic knowledge of one of the SQL tool (SSRS, SSIS or SSAS)
·  Knowledge in Agile Methodology
·  Advanced Knowledge on Team Foundation Server (TFS)
·  Knowledge of Reporting, SharePoint, Workflow Foundation or Web Design or non-Microsoft technologies
·  Development coordinator skills
·  Fluent in English (French, German or Luxemburgish will be considered as an advantage)
