Kuehne + Nagel is looking for a dedicated Transport Operations Analyst to join our growing Contact Logistics Team. This position is based in Melbourne Western Suburbs.
Your Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Specialist to become a valuable member of our Contract Logistics team, adding your leadership expertise and skills to the delivery of Customer + Operational Excellence. Your primary objective will be to deliver against our distribution strategy by ensuring that vendor management is a priority + key factor in gaining + retaining customers.Your Responsibilities
- To manage vendor sourcing deals, contracts, delivery + quality for a complete procurement cycle, ensuring that commercial + cost saving benefits are realised at the P+L level, also ensuring on time delivery with suppliers.
- To evaluate supplier core competencies + competitive positioning using industry cost models.
- To develop a negotiation strategy that delivers against business objectives + achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers.
- To review + approve a comprehensive list of suppliers for tender processes developed by analysing the local market, understanding trends + competitive positioning to ensure the best possible supply base.
- To take action to reduce costs, focusing on creating greater efficiencies, economies of scale or a greater quality of resources.
