Job description

As Digital Marketing Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Digital Marketing Team to ensure the effective day to day running of the website and social media platforms for the EMEA region, in addition to providing regular support on email marketing, data analytics and campaign reporting.

With a focus on the web and social media channels, the role involves the daily upload and quality control of content to the website, providing first line technical support or advice to other CMS users and carrying out the more technical module configuration of the website. You’ll be responsible for raising issues/errors, identifying opportunities for improvement, carrying out keyword research to support the SEO strategy and measuring the website performance frequently.

Further social media responsibilities include regular posting and management of the separate practice area accounts and researching and monitoring key influencers on all our social media platforms.

Alongside your day to day responsibilities, you’ll support the Digital Marketing Manager in the ongoing development, implementation and alignment of the regional and global digital marketing strategies, as well as embedding digital marketing best practice and processes within the wider Brand & Marketing and Client Development teams.

Responsibilities will include:

Website

  • Day to day maintenance of the website, including:

    • Content uploading and editing

    • Quality assurance via approval workflow

    • SEO best practice

  • First-line CMS user technical support

  • More advanced module configuration of the CMS

  • Deployment beta testing

  • Managing the leavers/joiners process, including:

    • Collating new joiner profile content

    • Adding/removing profiles as appropriate

    • Managing broken links

  • Keyword research through Google AdWords

  • Support PPC campaign planning & implementation

  • Online form set-up

  • Assist in the co-ordination and implementation of both regional and global content campaigns

Social Media

  • Manage Social Media accounts - posting regular updates and liaising regularly with the Communications and Events teams to identify opportunities

  • Social Media Community monitoring - with a focus on mentions, user engagement and key influencers

  • Campaign communication planning & implementation

  • Ensure compliance to the firm’s social media policy

eMarketing

  • Provide first-line support to Email Service Provider (ESP) users, in the distribution of:

    • Insight newsletters/alerts

    • Event invitations and

    • Internal communications

  • Assist in sending regularly scheduled marketing mailings, including the Alumni and Subscription welcome emails

  • Ensure the effective recording of automated responses from online forms to the CRM database

  • Work alongside the CRM team to develop a deep understanding of client targeting and list segmentation.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Provide ongoing and timely metrics for digital activity and campaigns, filtering raw data to summary level that can be understood by all stakeholders and fed into a Digital Marketing dashboard.

  • Provide analysis and recommendations for improvement of usability and functionality


Other

  • Day-to-day management of central Digital Marketing inboxes

  • Maintain Digital Marketing documentation, including regular updates to the:

    • CMS user training manual

    • Website & social media Digital Marketing process guides

    • Website & social media best practice and policy guides

    • Digital Marketing induction material

  • Undertake specific administrative tasks, such as regular archiving and asset library maintenance for the website and email template suite

  • Update the workflow management system to enable effective job tracking and delegation through the Digital Marketing unit

  • Promote Digital Marketing best practice at every opportunity

  • Ensure brand consistency and alignment across all Digital Marketing channels

  • Identify opportunities to improve the overall user experience, for both our external clients and internal CMS and ESP users

  • Keep up to date with changes in the industry by regularly attending seminars/webinars and registering for industry email updates

Skills/ Knowledge required

  • A keen awareness of industry best practice and technology developments
  • Content Management System experience, preferably Sitecore
  • Experience of Search Engine Optimisation and usability
  • Experience of managing social media platforms
  • Experience of Email or Marketing Automation software
  • Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Moz or similar experience
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

Education/ Experience

At least one years' digital marketing experience in a professional services organisation, preferably legal, as well as:
