ABOUT SAINT LAURENT Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter in a 1966 collection called ‘Rive Gauche’, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio- cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe. Today, Saint Laurent collections include women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.

We are currently seeking a Communications Intern who will report to the Senior Director of Public Relations & Media as part of our dynamic team in New York, New York.

ROLE

You will be supporting the Public Relations Manager, VIP Manager, Media Manager, Public Relations Coordinator and VIP Coordinator in their daily activities. You will also be maintaining the organization of the sample closet, showroom and magazine archive.

MISSION

PUBLIC RELATIONS

·  Assisting with sample trafficking for editorial shoots and coordinating local messenger services
·  Reviewing national and local publications and websites for editorial credits on a daily basis
·  Assisting with daily digital and weekly print + digital press reviews

VIP

·  Assisting with sample trafficking for VIP dressing initiatives and coordinating local messenger services
·  Assisting with preparations for VIP fittings
·  Assisting with gifting initiatives and creating VIP decks
·  Scan wires and social media for celebrity coverage

MEDIA

·  Compile screenshot reports for paid social media campaigns
·  Monitor and track print positioning for Saint Laurent and its competitors
·  Manage and organize print media archive

PROFILE

·  Students with an interest in luxury fashion and Communications
·  Marketing and/or Advertising and would prefer candidates with prior corporate office experience
·  Candidates must be able to commit to at least 3 full days a week.
·  Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

The base compensation for this position is $17/hr.
