Report: Production Manager RTW
Candidate:
To have a minimum of 3 years experience in a women's wear Production Coordinator role and have a sound understanding of the wholesale critical path and on time delivery. Must include RTW Brand experience within their employment history and worked across all women's wear categories. Must have proven track record and technical knowledge of Knitwear as well as woven and jersey experience, working CMT and Fully Factored with factories in the UK and Europe as well as the Far East. Good technical knowledge required of construction, in the areas of pattern, fusing and technical print knowledge for placement and technique. Excellent negotiation skills required for price negotiation for deliveries and pricing with vendors. Candidate should be a good communicator, highly organized, good at relationship building and maintaining, as well as a proven track record of managing a team.
Core Responsibilities:
Working within the framework of the seasonal women's wear production cycles. Specified production duties relate to all categories of women's wear. Responsible for achieving seasonal on-time delivery, working under the Production Manager and with the Product Developers and Studio at various stages within the season to achieve this. Ultimately responsible for the accurate administration an archiving of the department.

General Responsibilities :
Raw Material Orders - Processes forecasted and seasonal production fabric/yarn raised by the Production Manager. Processes the hard copy colour swatched orders alongside emails to manufacturers and recording order confirmations. Updating order details into the production WIP overview spreadsheet. Monitoring the delivery schedule in accordance with the production planning time line. Ultimately responsible for placing fabric, yarn, trims, lining, s/tags and label Production orders where required under the guidance of the Production Manager.
Material QC - Responsible for the request, archive and check quality references from all fabric production orders dispatched prior to shipping.
Production Specifications – Alongside the Production Manager, cross checking the issuing of production specifications, alongside the Product Developer according to the PP schedule for production, and checking costings are updated on Zedonk. Attends the general post sales campaign pre-production fit meetings and all pre-production sample fit meetings.
Production Orders - Responsible for printing and issuing production orders post consolidation and once orders are raised on Zedonk by the Production Manager and prepares these to be signed by the designated signatories. Issues the production orders once approved and signed off, to the relevant factories and sends copies to accounts. Alongside the Production Manager responsible for amending Zedonk with any updates to manufacturing or material prices post sales campaign and notifying the Sales team weekly of updates.
Pre-Production Samples – Responsible for the chasing and tracking of all pre-production samples via a tracking spreadsheet and creates priority lists depending on factory scheduling for the sealing process. Is involved in the fitting of PP's with the Studio Manager/Production Garment Tech where possible to troubleshoot and ensure on time delivery. Attends weekly internal catch up meeting.
Brand Label & Composition Label Placement – Under guidance of Production Manager ensures that the seasonal label placement manual for each individual maker is sent. Produces a seasonal PDF detailing all fibre composition and care symbols for care label printing. Also for the use of Sales/Ecom/Digital teams. (Look into developing a label placement/corporate ID manual that only requires small seasonal amendments)
Invoices - Manages the processing production invoices and archiving afterwards, liaising with accounts to receive payment confirmations and passing this information to factories as required. Chasing outstanding payments on behalf of factories where necessary. Filing paid invoices in the relevant seasonal budget archive. Managing invoices alongside the monthly cost report and seasonal budget.
Monitoring the Production Cycle - Alongside the Production Manager is responsible for seasonal on-time delivery using and updating the WIP overview spreadsheet to chase vendors and update the status of production runs. Liaise directly with manufacturers and supply them with relevant production spreadsheets. Provide regular internal updates to the Merch and Logistics as required. Ensures that timely QC's are conducted and trouble shoots any issues that arise from this that negatively affect on time delivery.
Stock Control – Assists the Production Manager in regular checks on stock control – keeping a record of fabric/yarn/trim/component levels pre and post production cycles.
Travel/Factory Visits/QC – May be required to makes visit to factories when required to hand over production instructions and launch production orders as required or in conjunction with the Production Manager works out a seasonal factory schedule for garment QC, and participates in inspections as required.
Counter Sourcing - Assists the in counter sourcing, prepares packs and tracks counter sampling.
